What are stable doors & how much do they cost?

Stable doors are a unique design, much loved as a back entrance for countryside properties that are now making inroads into urban new-build properties.

The doors themselves are a 2-part construction, a top half and a bottom half. The top section can be opened independently of the bottom half.  This feature of the top half opening turns the door into a “window”. With the top section opened you can look out onto the back yard to your hearts’ content. Knowing, that if you have toddlers around, they will be safely kept inside.

There are UPVC and Composite stable doors, both have a lot of features in common (which you can see more about here: https://www.doubleglazingpriceguide.org.uk/upvc-stable-doors-and-composite-stable-doors/) such as:

  • multi-point locks
  • energy efficiency
  • hard wearing
  • great looks.

Composite Stable Doors

The top & bottom sections both have their own locking mechanisms and, when shut, are locked together by a shoot bolt.

Colour variations and timber grain finishes are available in both UPVC & composite, thus giving you ample choice to match or contrast your existing style.
