End date for SVA draws nearer

Rushing to get your build finished for the 31st March to catch the end of SVA ?

We received confirmation today of the bad news that, although the test officially finishes at the end of March, the stations are actually being closed for that month while the testers are being retrained on the still to be agreed BIVA / IVA regulations.

ACE has yet to see the results of the DfT BIVA / IVA Consultation Document that finished in August so are concerned as to any further changes to the proposals and whether input for all interested parties has had time to be fully considered.

Not least of the concerns are the proposed price hike for a BIVA (equivalent to SVA) from £190 to a staggering £540.
